Virtual Reality Flight Trainer Simulation

multiSIM delivers full flight Virtual Reality (VR) simulations of trainer aircraft, like the PC-7, PC-9, T-6 and the A-29 Tucano. The level of realism of the aircraft dynamics, the avionics and the look and feel of the cockpit are important, since it directly affects the transfer-of-training to the real aircraft. The higher the fidelity of the simulation, the higher the training value. Our VR solutions deliver high training value at minimal costs.

Compared to conventional simulation, VR offers new methods of both instructing and assessing student pilots in a compelling flight environment. VR incorporates real-time eye-tracking, automatic feedback on scan patterns, the compilation of individual learning analytics and, of course, self-paced learning.

Scalable VR Solution

All our VR solutions are scalable, they can be implemented in a basic setup with only the essential flight controls (Reconfigurable VR Pilot Station), or incorporated in a full-flight simulator having a full cockpit. We can even upgrade your existing simulator for use with mixed reality (XR). With D-SIM and D-World the software stays the same, it’s just the hardware that is tailored to your needs.

Flight Model

multiSIM’s flight models are engineered in-house specifically to represent the actual performance and dynamics of the aircraft, so that student pilots can train procedures and basic flight maneuvers, like speed changes, turns, circuits, and take-off and landing. A lot of engineering effort was put into accurate modeling of turbine engine performance and the effects of prop-wash.

Learning Analytics

The open-simulation solution in D-SIM, makes all the variables in the simulation accessible to our customers for analysis, including the eye-tracking data from the VR headsets and the automatically detected scan patterns, as well as the flight data. Independent of the type of VR headset you choose to use.
